I learned my speech by looking over it a lot. Whenever I wrote it I made sure I knew and was going to remember what I was talking about. When I write my speeches I want to make sure that it is going to be something that will come easy to me and something that I can remember. After I had looked over it, I then started to try and memorize it in my head. I would say it out loud and make sure I was getting it untill I didn't need the paper anymore.

The best techniques that I used to memorize it was to learn a section at a time. Before I would move on to a new section, I would make sure I had the one before that memorized. After I had done that, I would just keep going over it untill I didn't even have to think about it. I just tried to take it slow so that it wouldn't all be piled on me at once. If I would have tried to memorize it all in one and all at once, there is no way I could have. It would have made things a lot more harder.

The best tips that I can share with the class is to start on your speech as soon as you can. I wouldn't wait untill the last minute. That makes it even harder to learn if you do and it puts a lot of stress on you. Learn sections at a time or as little as you can at a time. Keep repeating yourself over and over even if you think you have it. Practice it untill you don't have to think about what your saying. If not then your mind will most likely go blank up at the podeum.

One way that I have improved on my first speech is that I am definitely not as nervous as I was. I am more confident about what I am doing now. I know more of the techniques to do now and what people are looking for to hear. The first speech I wasn't really sure on what to do but now I am more aware of how its supposed to go. I also know more about what I am being graded for.

The things that I would like improve on would be to not get nervouse at all, talk a lot louder, have more feeling in my voice, make good eye contact, and to not forget what I am going to say. I have a very hard time making contact with people. If I look at them while I am talking I always wonder what they are thinking about me and then my mind just goes blank on what I am saying a speech about. I get even more nervous whenver that happens.

I plan to improve these things by not caring what people think about my speech and just hope for the best. I should get up there and be confident and do my own thing. I will tell myself when I get up to the podeum that I will be louder. I will also practice on my own doing that. I am not going to be nervous because I am going to be confident. I will tell myself that I can do this. I just need to be more confident and I think that would solve all of these problems.

What you said was very good, but where are your pictures?

You also forgot to publish your post, so I had to go in and do it for you.

I think you might have misunderstood the assignment. You only had to write 75-100 words for each PART, not each question. That's why you are getting a better grade even though you didn't have pictures.

Very good advice. That's how I used to learn my speeches, and still do for anything that I need to remember like that.
